Dr Syed Harun is a Visiting Associate Consultant Psychiatrist at the Institute of Mental Health. He is a Council Member of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). He is active in community work and social services and holds several other voluntary appointments in statutory boards and committees across government and charity sectors. Dr Syed was presented with the ‘Most Inspirational Story’ Commendation Award at the Singapore Youth Award 2019. He feels that life remains too short and fragile to accommodate regrets, and can be well-lived in service of others.
